Approximately 60% of Canpotex sales of potash are made on a
Cost & Freight basis, where Canpotex charters and manages the vessel carrying customer cargo through to the discharge port in the country of destination. This offers significant advantages in economies of scale, opportunities for combination cargoes, and combined routing options to maximize efficiencies and minimize the cost of this part of the "potash journey".

Through its in-house Ocean Transportation group and its exclusive chartering and brokerage network, Canpotex manages time-charter and voyage-charter vessels, contracts of affreightment, as well as shipments of complementary cargoes.

Vessel Agency
Canpotex Vancouver provides full Load Port Agency services for Canpotex potash shipments through the Port of Vancouver, as well as Forwarding Agency services for cargoes of potash, sulphur, and grain.
