Canpotex is well known to overseas customers as a reliable supplier of potash, and the Inland Transportation part of the export journey is one of the key contributors to this reputation.

Utilizing Canada's "Class 1" rail lines, Canpotex unit trains traverse the rugged Canadian landscape through often-extreme seasons year round.  Travelling approximately 1,600 kilometers to deep water ports, each train is made up of between 130 and 170 railcars carrying approximately 13,000 and 17,500 tonnes of potash, respectively.

Canpotex continues to invest in its specialized railcar fleet, with over 5,500 railcars in dedicated potash service.
